André Lopes

André Lopes holds a degree in Biology and Biotechnology and a master's degree in Natural Products and Bioapplications.
As a research fellow at S2AQUACoLAB, he is joining the "SKINS" co-promotion project, which focuses on disrupting the sea lice life cycle and promoting the dietary regeneration of skin lesions in affected salmonids.
Under the supervision of Dr. Joana Rosa, his main tasks involve the establishment and maintenance of salmonid cell cultures, and the optimization of in vitro epithelial injury models using the scratch assay to evaluate the regenerative effects of bioactive compounds.
