Michael Viegas has degree in Biochemistry, a MSc degree in Molecular biology and Microbiology and a PhD in Animal Science, with a specialization in fish nutrition. Michael has worked for many years researching different aspects of marine teleost fish’s skeletal biology by using model animals and in vitro and molecular biology tools. Currently he works as a researcher, participating in the design and implementation of experimental assays, as well as diet analysis and biochemical and molecular parameter measurements in fish and shrimp. He joined S2QUAcoLAB in January 2022.
