S2AQUAcoLAB is now an associate member of the BlueBio Alliance, strengthening its position within the national blue bioeconomy ecosystem and expanding its opportunities for collaboration and impact in the sector. 🤝

BlueBio Alliance is the main Portuguese network dedicated to marine bioresources and blue biotechnology, bringing together more than two hundred entities across the entire value chain — from raw material producers and research centres to biotech companies, processing industries, public entities and final product developers. As a non-profit association, it acts as a platform for sector coordination, promoting synergies, innovation and sustainable growth, while representing the ecosystem at national, European and international levels.

The network operates by creating connections between different actors in the value chain, facilitating knowledge sharing, the development of collaborative projects and access to funding and internationalisation opportunities.

S2AQUAcoLAB’s integration into this network represents a strategic step in strengthening its mission to bridge science, industry and market in the field of aquaculture and aquatic bioresources. As a CoLAB, S2AQUAcoLAB plays a particularly relevant role in fostering knowledge and technology transfer, contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions that address sector challenges. ♻️
