On 29 June, the "Functional Feeds for Fish" workshop took place at the IPMA Auditorium in Olhão. Organised within the scope of PBA / Vertical Algas – SP5, the event brought together partners from SPAROS, IPMA, CCMAR, GreenCoLab, SORGAL, CIIMAR, B2E CoLAB and S2AQUAcoLAB to present the project's main outcomes and discuss future perspectives for the development of functional feeds for aquaculture.

Workshop highlights

• Presentation of the main scientific results achieved throughout the project.
• Sharing of advances in feeding regimes, stress trials, pathogen challenge tests, experimental design and the validation of functional feeds for different fish species and life stages.
• Presentation of the products developed within the project.
• Round table discussion focused on identifying new collaboration opportunities and future research projects.

The workshop provided an important opportunity for knowledge exchange among project partners, strengthening collaboration, promoting discussions on improving research strategies and contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for the aquaculture sector.
