In March and April 2025, S2AQUAcoLAB will be holding a short course on Broodstock Management and Reproduction in Aquaculture. The main objectives of this course are:

• Present the fundamental principles of broodstock management in aquaculture.
• Train participants in reproductive control practices and gamete quality assessment.
• Explore genetic selection strategies and assisted fertilisation techniques.
• Provide practical knowledge to optimise reproductive success in aquaculture systems.

The course will take place online between 11 March and 10 April 2025, with sessions during working hours (14:30 to 16:30), except on 1 April, when the session will take place from 10:00 to 11:00. There will also be a hands-on session on 10 April at Estação Piloto de Piscicultura de Olhão (EPPO).

The sessions will be given by experts in the field, providing quality teaching based on scientific evidence and practical experience.

The course will be taught in Portuguese and English, with an e-learning format complemented by a practical in-person session.
