From November 29 to December 9, 2024, S2AQUAcoLAB will be offering an intensive short course on Data Science in Aquaculture. This 8-hour online training is tailored for professionals and students in the field who are interested in applying data analysis techniques to improve aquaculture processes and outcomes.
The course aims to equip participants in the following areas:
Introduction to basic data science concepts and their application in aquaculture.
Data structuring and collection, including industry-specific data sources.
Fundamental data analysis techniques applied to aquaculture.
Data visualization and interpretation to support decision-making.
The course is structured into four 2-hour modules, covering essential topics to develop skills in data collection, structuring, and analysis, specifically applied to aquaculture.
The training will be led by João Janeiro, a researcher in Emerging Technologies with extensive experience in science, technology, and management of ocean and coastal resources, gained through national and international projects.
