It is with great satisfaction that S2AQUAcoLAB - Collaborative Laboratory for a Smart and Sustainable Aquaculture announces its official entry as a member of Fórum Oceano - Associação da Economia do Mar.

Joining the Ocean Forum represents a strategic step for S2AQUAcoLAB, which is dedicated to applied research, innovation and knowledge transfer in the field of aquaculture, promoting circularity, biodiversity and the resilience of marine and coastal ecosystems. Through a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach, S2AQUAcoLAB develops technological solutions and innovative practices that support the transition to a more sustainable and competitive blue economy.

Fórum Oceano is the managing body of the Portuguese maritime cluster and has established itself as a driving force behind the maritime economy in Portugal. Bringing together more than 130 members, including companies, universities, R&D centres, associations and public bodies, Fórum Oceano promotes links between different sectors of the blue economy, fosters collaborative innovation projects and represents Portugal in strategic international networks. It is also the national coordinator of the BlueTech Cluster Alliance network and the focal point of several European platforms dedicated to the sustainable growth of the blue economy.

The integration of S2AQUAcoLAB into this ecosystem strengthens the link between science and the economic sector, fostering new partnerships, joint projects and active contributions to the formulation of public policies and national and international strategies.
