S2AQUAcoLAB will be present at the 4th APEZ Jornadas de Aquacultura, an event that brings together researchers, companies and specialists to discuss the challenges and advances in the aquaculture sector. 

The 4ªs Jornadas de Aquacultura, organizaded by Associação Portuguesa de Engenharia Zootécnica (APEZ), with the support of the S2AQUAcoLAB, will take place on 20 and 21 March 2025, in Olhão, in the auditorium of the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA). This event aims to promote technical and scientific discussion on aquaculture, an area with high growth and sustainability potential.

The programme includes round table discussions, scientific sessions, poster presentations and networking opportunities with professionals, researchers and companies in the sector. The programme includes sessions on optimising nutritional resources, innovation in aquaculture, algae and bivalve production, and a round table dedicated to the challenges of production in Portugal. There will also be technical visits to relevant companies and institutions in the field.

Pedro Pousão, president of the Board and Cátia Marques, scientific coordinator of S2AQUAcoLAB, will moderate two of the debates at the meeting, which is expected to bring together around a hundred professionals and researchers in the field.
